Diocese of Austin policy mandates that "every student enrolled in a Catholic School shall be immunized against vaccine-preventable diseases caused by infectious agents following the immunization schedule adopted by the Texas Department of State Health. Immunizations are not in conflict with the Catholic faith. Conscientious objections or waivers do not qualify as an exception to this policy."
IMPORTANT: All application materials and admissions forms must be complete, and records/transcripts must be received from the former school before they are reviewed and a student is officially accepted.
Contingent upon admission, completion of "ENROLLMENT" is the final step in becoming a member of our St. Mary's Catholic School family!
Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email with a decision listing the next steps. Upon acceptance to SMCS, we will provide you with a link to complete an enrollment agreement. We will gladly assist you with creating your school account and FACTS billing account. Soon after, we will contact you with details about schedules and opportunities to get to know the teachers, staff, and other families.
St. Mary's Catholic School Tuition Assistance Scholarship program is based upon financial need and the availability of funds. Tuition assistance is given on the assumption that the family is allocating the maximum amount of resources it can to the educational costs of its children, and that the family has arranged its priorities with educational costs at the top of the list, after necessary expenses.
Students receiving scholarships are expected to maintain commendable academic standing, attendance, behavior, effort, and citizenship. Families receiving assistance are expected to maintain timely tuition and fees payments throughout the year.
St. Mary's Catholic School Tuition Assistance Scholarship program is initiated and processed through the FACTS Grant & Aid system. A $40 application fee for each family seeking assistance is due upon submission of your application.
The parish/school tuition assistance scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served, verified financial need basis. Tuition Assistance Scholarships are a supplement to your family's financial contribution to your child's tuition.
Our tuition assistance scholarship committee will notify you via email of your scholarship award. You will be asked to formally accept or decline your scholarship assistance award. To ensure that your first tuition payment will reflect your award, please complete and submit your FACTS Grant & Aid application in a timely manner.
Existing families may access the Grant & Aid application from your “Financial” tab when you log into FACTS SIS/Family Portal. Your current account with SMCS must be in good standing in order to receive a tuition assistance scholarship for the following year.
